No Shit, Please!
The film is about the process of community led total sanitation (CLTS) and its transforming potential for environment and people. Application of this approach has shown remarkable results on the ground in terms of improving the quality of environment in general and of drinking water in particular. The growing acceptance and use of the approach has resulted in the well being of people across several countries that include Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Cambodia, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Bolivia, Mongolia and China. And it is spreading like wild fire across many other countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America. The uniqueness of the approach lies in helping people analyse their sanitation situation on their own. This approach does not require subsidies for toilets from governments or other external institutions, but it does require a greater understanding of \'triggers\' that may bring lasting perceptual and behavioral change among people in the rural areas.
Film Director(s): Devi Prasad Mishra. Film Type: Short Documentary
